Shekina Moore is a multi-gifted public speaker, entrepreneur, educator, designer and author. In honor of her affinity for the dress, she launched her designer dress label, SoKINA, made especially for women leaders, in Fall 2011. In the same year she was named the Featured Designer of the Carolina Music Awards and released her style book, Shoeing the Fat, addressing real women with real challenges through real talk. A former school administrator, she has earned two degrees from North Carolina Central University and is a doctoral candidate at North Carolina State University. Recently, Moore has been named by Carolina STYLE Magazine as one of the Triangle's 25 Most Stylish People of 2012, placing her on an elite list of tastemakers who have made a real impact in the community in the areas of fashion, beauty, business, arts, entertainment and philanthrophy. In Spring 2012 Moore and her husband, Stanford Moore (designer), are launching Stanford Brand, a menswear specialty boutique for bow tie connoisseurs, and SimplySoKINA, a line of pret-a-porter finds at affordable prices, with their sights on global expansion. When not mixing, matching or designing wardrobe pieces, Moore enjoys time with God (quintessential to her purpose in this life), mentoring youth, fun times with family and friends, travel, reading, fashion blogging and sipping on her favorite indulgence-- vanilla chai tea!

Fashion Designer Stanford Moore, who has become the one to watch dans le monde de mode, is generating some serious buzz around his new collection, Stanford Brand.
Moore learned to work hard at an early age by helping his grandfather with farm work. After high school Moore went on to join the Army, where he served for nearly four years, and decided to depart after returning home from Desert Storm.
One would think that Moore attended Fashion & Design school, but he actually studied Aero Science in college and has always been naturally gifted in Art. After college Moore moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and furthered his education in pursuit of an electrical engineering career. He was later hired by two major corporations in the Research Triangle Park in engineering research and design. While working in corporate America, Moore began engineering his very own bow tie patterns and prototypes, spawning his first entrepreneurial venture. Moore later founded his designer label Stanford Brand in 2011. Standing 6'8" tall and never having been one to blend into the background, Moore chose the name Stanford Brand in expression of his style ID. Moore wanted the brand to mirror his classic, yet fashion-forward and unique, style and to pay homage to his inner strength.
Stanford Brand already has its sights on expansion, adding to its suite menswear staples in comparable style choices. Moore, who has single-handedly altered the landscape of bow ties, and his lovely wife spearhead Speedy Outfitters LLC, a Fashion House.
